Volunteers Needed for GPPA’s Scottsdale Western Cookout Adventure

Thank you for supporting our Scenic Drive litter pickup events, our Save the Scenic Drive campaign, and the 16 Cookouts at the Ranch that we have organized over the years . Your support is essential  and appreciated.

We need volunteers to help with our March 5th fund raiser, the Scottsdale Western Cookout Adventure. The  event – for residents and visitors – will feature our community, family fun, wildlife, music, pets, food, western games, exhibits, and prizes for folks of all ages. There will be a special tribute, including music, exhibits, and personalities,  to  Greasewood Flat, Pinnacle Peak Patio, and Reata Pass Steakhouse.

Our immediate need is for volunteers to help us market and prepare for the event. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information about a particular volunteer opportunity.

PRE-EVENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We need pre-event volunteers to help in the following areas:

Marketing – Assist in the development and distribution of marketing collateral including press releases, posters, and postcards

Prize Patrol – Assist in obtaining donations of items and services from local businesses and individuals for the event’s Reward Sacks, Bit Raffle, and Passport Drawing.

Coordination and Preparation – Work with exhibitors and other volunteers to coordinate preparations for the event.

 

EVENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The day of the event we will need volunteers to assist in the following areas:

Setup – Assist in preparing the site, setting up tables, assisting exhibitors, etc.

Greeters & Ticket Collection – Help arriving guests, sell and collect tickets and distribute event programs/

Guest Services – Provide a smiling face and assistance for cookout guests.
