Parada del Sol Parade in Downtown Scottsdale – Sat., Feb. 13th

downtown scottsdale headerThe 63rd Annual Parada del Sol Parade and Trail’s End Festival will take place in Downtown Scottsdale, Saturday, Feb. 13.

The parade route mirrors the original 1959 parade route, and the original family barbecue is now the Trail’s End Festival designed to attract tourists and residents to Old Town Scottsdale.

We wanted to let you know some important details so you can plan accordingly:

Parade – The parade begins at 10 a.m. on Scottsdale Road at Stetson and continues south through Indian School Road to 1st Street, where it turns west to Marshall Way, passing by Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, before turning east along 2nd Street before heading north on Brown Avenue where it ends at Indian School Road at noon. The parade map is online.

Trail’s End – Immediately after the parade, the Trail’s End festival begins. The festival boundaries are between Indian School Road and Second Street, and between Scottsdale Road and Brown Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale. The festival ends at 5 p.m., Scottsdale Road will reopen by 6 p.m., although clean-up will continue until around 8 p.m. The festival map is online.

Road closures for areas north of Indian School will occur from 4 a.m. to noon.

Road closures for areas south of Indian School will occur from 4 a.m. until 6 p.m.

This is Scottsdale’s only event that closes Scottsdale Road, as well as several roads in Old Town Scottsdale.

The Old Town Parking Corral at Second Street and Brown Avenue will be limited to disabled parking and Old Town merchants and employees with access before and after the parade. Old Town merchants and employees must have a parking pass to access the lot.

Detailed information for Old Town Scottsdale merchants and employees is available here.

All other city parking garages and lots will remain open. The Downtown Trolley will be rerouted during the parade and festival to avoid closures.
