A perfect desert night was the framework for the Las Piedras Block Watch party held in the neighborhood on April 7. Brightly colored paper flowers and sombrero centerpieces decorated the tables for the neighbors and their guests at a Mexican Fiesta. Salsa and chips began the party, followed by authentic Mexican food; tacos, enchiladas, and refried beans. A special guest was a Scottsdale fireman who shared tips on personal safety, including the grounds of our properties, as well as maintenance of sprinklers in our homes. As the party goers enjoyed the wonderful desserts, they were entertained by Mariachi Alma Nacional. This annual event is organized by the Social Committee of Las Piedras, and funded by the Homeowners association.
