July 4, 2018 – Desert Foothills Photos of Deer and Drones

July 5, 2018

Photographs and Story by Michele LaBlonde

On the morning of July 4th, I was out showing a home near Jomax Road and 108th Street in north Scottsd when I saw a herd of five mule deer. The one below chose not to bound off and posed to have her picture taken!

That night I took the photos below of the drone fireworks at the Civana Carefree Resort, which is formerly known as the Carefree Inn. The area was totally packed with people watching.

The drone display was a great way to celebrate the 4th, while avoiding a potential fire hazard!  Unfortunately, the herd of deer that I saw in the morning was pbobably too far away to catch the show.
