If you think so, why do they offer incentives to reduce energy and water consumption? Find out at the next Green Building Lecture. The free program will be on Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Granite Reef Senior Center. Hear about the latest utilities and city rebates for a variety of services and products, including: heating and cooling equipment, duct repairs, insulation, programmable thermostats, lighting, shade screens, solar, shade trees, pool pumps, smart irrigation controllers, plumbing fixtures and more.

| Sharon Bonesteel, AIA, CBO, Senior Policy Analyst – SRP Codes & Standards Initiative
Sharon has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry; including directing operations at her architectural firm, providing expert witness on building code issues, as well as enforcing jurisdictional code. She brings this experience to the utility industry – facilitating the adoption of energy efficient building codes and providing education on codes and energy efficient construction methods to the customers served by the Salt River Project. Sharon is a licensed architect in Arizona and California, RESNET Energy Rater, Certified Building Official, Commercial Energy Inspector and SRP’s voting representative to the International Code Council (ICC) code development process. |

| Chris Baggett, Program Manager – Arizona Public Service (APS) Marketing Programs
Chris is the program manager for the APS Multifamily Energy Efficiency program, Energy Star New Homes program and the Codes & Standards Initiative. Chris is a Certified Energy Manager with 15 years of utility experience working in areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, power quality, key accounts, public relations, and marketing. Chris has a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of West Florida and an MBA from Grand Canyon University. Throughout Chris’s career he has been privileged to serve in a variety of posts for many industry organizations. Chris serves on the board for the Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP) and the Southwest Chapter of AESP. In addition, Chris has served as a board member for the Solar Energy Power Association and as a member of the Cooperative Research Network member Advisory Council for Renewable Energy and Distributed Generation. |

| Jennifer Davidson, Water Conservation Specialist – city of Scottsdale.
Jennifer has B.A. Communication Studies from ASU and administers the city’s Homeowners Association water budget program. Jennifer was a co-writer on a multi-municipality collaboration to create a new leak detection guide, Find and Fix Leaks that are Draining Your Budget. This easy-to-use guide teaches homeowners how to read a water meter and how to find leaks both inside and outside their homes. Jennifer administered Scottsdale Water’s plumbing rebate program (toilets and showerheads) for over three years and now administers the water softener upgrade/removal, irrigation controller, and hot water recirculation rebate programs. |

| Todd Czaplewski, Energy Advisor – SW Gas
Todd has over 13 years of energy industry experience. In his current position, Todd works with multifamily developers to ensure natural gas is considered for projects. Todd also has experience in new residential and commercial business activity in the outlying districts in Southwest’s Southern Arizona Division. In addition, Todd spends time in the Operations as both a Construction and Customer Service Supervisor. Todd was responsible to oversee both new installations of gas facilities and emergency response. He holds a BS in Marketing from Arizona State University.
