GPPA Does Not Accept Political Donations or Advertising

GPPA LogoThank you for your support of A Peek at the Peak magazine (The Peak). the Greater Pinnacle Peak Association (GPPA) and Friends of the Scenic Drive. Your support is appreciated and essential.

To clarify our organization’s mission, GPPA’s Board of Directors has voted not to accept ANY political advertising or donations now and in the future. Founded in the Pinnacle Peak area of Scottsdale, Arizona in 1977, GPPA is a 501 c(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of Scottsdale’s Scenic Drive and natural environment, and the enhancement of quality of life in the North Scottsdale. We promote desert preservation, wildlife conservation, the arts, education, responsible development, and community service through our activities and publications.

Friends of the Scenic Drive SignThe role of The Peak is to support GPPA’s mission and provide informative, well-written, balanced content related to community issues, activities, organizations and personalities. We welcome the submission of articles that help readers understand the pros and/or cons of the bond proposal and the importance of the bond election. Publication of articles is based on quality, content, timeliness and editorial need.

The Peak was originally printed and distributed in 1983 by the Greater Pinnacle Peak Association (GPPA) as a six-page neighborhood newsletter for the hundred or so residents who lived in the Pinnacle Peak area of Scottsdale, Arizona. Today, GPPA publishes an expanded online version for tens of thousands of readers as a free community service serving Scottsdale and neighborhing communities.
