CCUSD Welcomes Executive Directors Jensen and Scott

CCUSD Welcomes Dr. Patty Jensen as Executive Director of Elementary Leadership
and 
Nancy Scott as Executive Director of Secondary Leadership

 

Dr, Patty Jensen.

Dr. Patty Jensen, the current principal of Lone Mountain Elementary School, has been named Executive Director of Elementary Leadership.  Dr. Jensen has served as an elementary school principal for the past eight years in Texas and Arizona. She has taught at the elementary and high school levels, served as a district Bilingual/ESL coordinator, and as an assistant principal prior to her years as principal. She earned her Ph.D in Educational Administration and Foundations in 2011 from Illinois State University and continues to research and publish as she is able. Her most recent article discusses the importance of listening in leadership. She comes to us all the way from our very own Lone Mountain Elementary where she will finish the year strong and work closely with the future principal to ensure a smooth transition. Patty lives in Cave Creek with her husband who is Director of Writing Programs at ASU and their three girls who all attend Lone Mountain.

 

 

Ms. Nancy Scott.

Ms. Nancy Scott, the current Director of CTE and Secondary Curriculum in the Queen Creek Unified School District, has been named Executive Director of Secondary Leadership.  Ms. Scott has been in education for 20 years. During her time as an educator she has been an English and Social Studies teacher secondary teacher, Pre-K-8th grade Assistant Principal, High School Assistant Principal, Middle School Principal, High School Principal, and most recently Director of CTE and Secondary Curriculum. She has worked with site and district leaders to ensure that strategic goals are met to ensure student success. Ms. Scott has been a member of many local, state and national level committees to promote educational policy. Ms. Scott has an amazing husband Patrick and two fur babies Reina and Izzy. Ms. Scott is thrilled with the opportunity to join the leadership team at CCUSD and work collaboratively with our staff members, parents, students and community members to provide a world-class education.

Both Dr. Jensen and Ms. Scott will begin their new positions on July 1, 2021.

The Cave Creek Unified School District is the number 1 district in the northeast valley for student achievement.
