Thank you for your trust and overwhelming support in the primary election. I finished first in the primary and narrowly missed getting elected outright. I ask for your continued support so I may continue to work on your behalf.

I work to ensure that we respond to the changing world around us while keeping Scottsdale special. Iapply the vision, expertise, and leadership skills I gained throughout my volunteer and business career to maintain and encourage civility, understand different points of view, and find solutions.

My first priority continues to be the financial strength of our City. Astrong economy keeps our sales tax and property tax among the lowest in the region, while helping to pay for the high-quality services that we all enjoy.

Specifically, I have worked to:

  • Create conditions that encourage private investment, spur business development, and stimulate job creation. Today, over half a billion dollars in private investment is being made in Southern Scottsdale.
  • Make fiscally responsible investments that improve our quality of life. We have set aside money each year to maintain our infrastructure.
  • Control costs to keep government small, keep tax rates low and ensure that more of our tax dollars go to providing quality services to citizens. City government is smaller and taxes are flat.
  • Improve our transportation system to serve our city and encourage Valley residents to work, shop and play in Scottsdale. We are updating our transportation plan to improve our bus service today and to provide better connections and improved service in the future.

Scottsdale is a very special place. It is our home. We must prepare for the future while protecting and preserving the best from our past. I ask for your support and your vote so I may continue to build a positive and prosperous future for Scottsdale.
