December 11, 2016

litter_cleanup_tvNeed a “new” TV? Act quickly and one can be yours!

Friends of the Scenic Drive volunteer John Rodwick found the TV, obviously in need of some TLC, while he was picking up litter Saturday morning. The City of Scottsdale Waste Management Department is scheduled to pickup the bags of litter and other refuse, which includes the TV, on Monday. Act Now.

Friends of the Scenic Drive thanks John and all the volunteers who helped with Saturday’s effort. As a result of their community service residents can be proud of the appearance of Scottsdale’s Scenic Drive. Friends also thanks the Cave Creek Museum for donating 10 free admissions to the museum. These were used to encourage online volunteer registration. Volunteers who registered online and then participated in the cleanup received the museum admissions.

Friends mans two sign-in locations: #1. northern Scenic Drive entry sign (located on the west side of Scottsdale Road south of Carefree Highway, immediately south of Terravita Marketplace), #2. Scenic Drive monument sign area (located on east side of Scottsdale Road 3/4 mile north of Happy Valley Road, across from MacDonald’s Ranch).

Volunteers included:  Gina Kulp, J. Kulp, Gary Hohner, Bonnie Hughes, Evan Half,  Connie Boose,   John Rodwick, Marg Nelssen,  Jake Rulf, Connie Boose, Michael Ballman, Les Conklin, Keith Christian, Bob Faitz, Les MCisaac, Mike Winfield, .  Gina Kulp, managed the southern sign-in location.
