All Things Must Change!
As much as many of us do not like a lot of change, it has become a necessity in our rapidly changing culture. While I still want my morning newspaper and to have magazines and books in hand, my children do everything online with their computers, tablets, pads, pods, and phones. I can’t read the small print on those little screens, can’t type on those little keys, and I don’t know what happens to my stuff in this “Cloud.” I just got my electric doorbell working!
A Peek at the Peak, first published over 30 years ago as a typed-by-hand newsletter, has changed many times over the years, evolving into the magazine many of us cherish today. Unfortunately, in the face of the epic shift from print to online marketing and reading, and the resulting intense competition in our circulation area for a shrinking amount of print advertising dollars, we’ve decided that it’s in the best interest of our nonprofit association and its members to move on and no longer publish the current, printed version. It’s being replaced by an exciting new online publication, worthy of A Peek at the Peak‘s proud heritage.
While this will be the last printed magazine, the new online A Peek at the Peak magazine will offer more timely information about your area, contain more information, reach a broader audience, allow readers to provide their comments on articles, and offer sponsoring advertisers more affordable rates and broader exposure. Take a look at the new online magazine by going to https://apeekatthepeak.org and tell us what you think!
We look forward to continuing to provide members, residents, tourists, and prospective visitors from around the globe with interesting information about all things going on in the community, with an emphasis on local events, quality of life, and environmental issues. See you all online!
