The State Land Department has proposed replacing the Scenic Drive’s exhibit and the neighboring open desert with new commercial and resort/tourism development.  At a community meeting held on May 20th, the Greater Pinnacle Peak Association showed the video “Save the Scenic Drive from MORE Commercial Development” to a packed house that included more than 180 residents, plus state, and city officials.
