Scottsdale Arts Festival takes place this weekend. Explore the works of nearly 200 nationally-acclaimed exhibiting artists at the annual Scottsdale Arts Festival Friday-Sunday, March 10-12, on Scottsdale’s Civic Center Mall. Enjoy toe-tapping Arizona bands and entertainers, mouth-watering gourmet food trucks and lots of other fun.

 Submit photos for railroad park contest. Amateur and professional photographers – grab your cameras and head to McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park to capture what makes it one of the most unique attractions in the Valley. Photos must be submitted by 1:45 a.m. Saturday, April 1.

EVENTS

Parada Rodeo runs March 9-12 at WestWorld. Celebrate rodeo history at Parada del Sol’s 64th annual Rodeo. Enjoy action-packed performances, including bull-riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, barrel racing, as well as other family-friendly activities.

 Scottsdale Museum of the West presents program on the businesswomen in territorial Tombstone. Speaker Heidi Osselaer addresses the perception of businesswomen in territorial Arizona and how the lines of propriety were rarely clearly drawn. The program runs from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at the museum, 3830 N. Marshall Way.

Fix a Leak Week is March 20-26. Leaky faucets can waste up to 10,000 gallons of water a year … enough to fill a backyard swimming pool. Learn how to check for and fix leaks in and around your home by reading “Find and Fix Leaks that are Draining Your Budget.”

The city’s information line connects you with live operators who have event, traffic and meeting information you want, or we’ll forward your call to the correct department for further assistance. The line is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and for special events as publicized.

PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Master your interview skills, perfect your résumé and meet hiring employers. The 2017 Sprint to Success event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Vista del Camino, 7700 E. Roosevelt St. The free program includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

 Learn about the Supreme Court of the United States. ASU’s Dr. Valerie Hoekstra will school attendees on the history of the court, judicial politics and the effect of its decisions on public opinion and policy. The free program is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Civic Center Library.

 Come on down … senior center hosts game show March 15. Be the next contestant on the Granite Reef Senior Center Game Show at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March. 15. Registration is required, and the cost is $5 for residents and $7 for nonresidents. Call 480-312-1700.

 Via Linda Senior Center hosts Spring Fling Dance, March 16. Live music and dance instruction will keep you moving at this event from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at the Via Linda Senior Center, 10440 E. Via Linda. Registration is required, and the cost is $3 for residents and $5 for nonresidents. Call 480-312-5810.

 Get an insider’s view of baseball and the American Dream. Journalist, photographer and pop culture icon Tabitha Soren presents a unique perspective on baseball Sunday, March 19, at Scottsdale’s Civic Center Library. Soren will discuss her photo book, “Fantasy Life: Baseball and the American Dream,” at 4:30 p.m. in the library’s auditorium, 3839 N. Drinkwater Blvd.
