Scottsdale Notification – Desert Discovery Meetings, Neighborhood College Fall Classes

Mark your calendar for Desert Discovery Center meetings. The proposed DDC concept will be available for community review at a series of meetings in August and September, culminating with the City Council Study Session in late September. The opportunities in August include:

• 4 p.m. Aug. 10 – Joint McDowell Sonoran Preserve Commission & Tourism Development Commission Study Session (non-action item) – City Hall Kiva, 3939 N Drinkwater Blvd.
• 1 p.m. Aug 17 – Development Review Board Study Session (non-action item) – City Hall Kiva, 3939 N Drinkwater Blvd.
• 4:30 p.m. Aug 23 – Planning Commission Study Session (non-action item) – City Hall Kiva, 3939 N Drinkwater Blvd.

Neighborhood College starts fall classes. Registration is available for Scottsdale’s Neighborhood College, a series of free classes where residents can receive the information, resources and tools needed to become effective neighborhood leaders. The line is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and for special events as publicized.
