Scottsdale Artwalk Summer Spectacular Set for July 12

The Gold Palette Scottsdale Artwalk Summer Spectacular that will be held on Tuesday, June 12, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. will be a special time for the Scottsdale’s Arts District and Scottsdale Downtown.

The event is organized by the Scottsdale Gallery Association. Galleries will feature exhibits by various national and international artists and visitors will be treated to Caribbean and island music, Hawaiian shaved ice with adult flavors, infused ice water, teas and sine and lots of entertainment and festivities. Sidewalk misting will be provided. Free to the public along Main Street from Scottsdale Rd. west to Goldwater Blvd., and on Marshall Way north of Indian School Rd. to Fifth Ave.

Restaurants, museums and free trolley and/or horse-drawn carriage rides are available to transport folks from free parking areas throughout the Scottsdale Arts District and Scottsdale Downtown.

During this summer’s celebration,  Bonner David Gallery wants Artwalk viewers to know that their gallery is always an oasis from the heat.

The gallery’s top-notch artists have been creating special works just for this occasion.  Come in to quench your desire for art by breathing in the aroma of crisp new paintings or touch the soothing sculptures on both the traditional and contemporary sides of the gallery. We look forward to welcoming you to our “oasis in the desert.”

All the artists featured below are current or former residents of the Southwest. They know first-hand the beauty and charm of an oasis.

 

Dyana Hesson is an Arizona native with art featured all over the Valley of the Sun and in many magazines such as Phoenix Home & Garden.

Claudia Hartley is a talented instructor and painter who previously resided in Phoenix. Her travels all over the United States, Switzerland, Iceland and Ireland are reflected in her paintings.

A master of many trades and mediums, Andy Burgess is exhibiting his work in some of the most prestigious studios and galleries in the country, including Site 109 in Manhattan and Tandem Press in Madison, Wisconsin. Burgess has also participated in art fairs around the world.

Robert LaDuke has been featured all over the United States. His work has most recently been seen at the AFA Gallery in New York.

With galleries in the Southwest, England, and Australia, Nocona Burgess is known for her portrayals of Indigenous men and women from many North American tribes.
