Have Fun – Get Prizes, Published and Recognition
This contest was inspired by the photo Earthrise, taken by Apollo 8 Astronaut William Anders during a lunar orbit on December 24, 1968. Acclaimed nature photographer Galen Rowell called the image “… the most influential environmental photo ever taken.”
Please don’t be concerned. We’re not asking you to leave earth so you can capture a winning shot of our aerial environment.
Entrants are encouraged to submit their favorite original photographs of Sonoran sunsets, sunrises, full moons, clouds, lightening, stars, etc. The photographs must have been taken in Scottsdale and neighboring Desert Foothills communities. The photograph must have been taken by the entrant in the last three years and cannot have been previously published in The Peak.
The contest is free and entrants can submit a maximum of four different photographs. Entrants must submit an entry form along with their entries by midnight, Saturday, March 10, 2018. See “Rules and Entry Form” below for details.
