You don’t have to go into space to enjoy beautiful skies. They are a frequent occurrence here in Peakland as demonstrated by the entries for The Peak’s 2018 Beautiful Skies Photograph Contest.
The Peak’s Beautiful Skies Photography Contest was inspired by the photo Earthrise, taken by Apollo 8 Astronaut William Anders during a lunar orbit on December 24, 1968. Acclaimed nature photographer Galen Rowell called the image “… the most influential environmental photo ever taken.”
In the March 15, 2018 issue of The Peak, we published the four winning photographs. In this issue, we are publishing other beautiful entries that were not selected by the judges. We didn’t want you to miss them.
