The Peak just received the information below regarding the Desert Discovery Center (DDC). We know that many of our readers are intensely interested in the latest project news from knowledgeable sources, so we are pleased to present a preview of designer’ ideas.

This week, the Desert Discovery Center exhibit designers have been in Scottsdale starting to create an inspiring vision – a set of ideas – based on community feedback.

Amanda White, Senior Interpretive Planner at Thinc Design, and Christine Kovach, Board Chair of the Desert Discovery Center Scottsdale appeared Thursday on KJZZ’s “The Show.”

“…There is a real passion in the community and in the people we’ve worked with for something that can make the Center be a really leading project for Scottsdale. That does not presuppose an enormous footprint.  In fact, what we’re starting to come to is the idea of a small footprint and a big vision and there are many ways we can do that,” said White.
