Yesterday, May 2nd,  we finally had some much needed rain in the desert.  When I awoke I saw the sky and grabbed my gear and took off for the day.  Three locations in total.  All within a few min to 45 min from home.  I raced to the third location Mt. Humboldt (which is 5200′ elevation), in the hopes of getting above the cloud line in order to shoot down on the clouds as they cleared, revealing the mountains and lake below, however I was too late. 🙁

Still, I was able to catch some interesting skies and sheets of rain in the distance.
