Educators deserve special treatment! Last week, I was part of a tour at MIM for little kids from the Washington School District in Phoenix. The kids are all from refugee families from Africa and the Middle East and are attending a special summer school to improve their English language skills, some speak Arabic, others Swahili, etc. During the tour, I learned that they were just a few of the students who have learned about world geography, cultures and music by participating in MIM school tours. Many of student groups are from Title 1 schools and the cost of the museum visit and tour is paid for by grants.
