The companion rezoning case to the Greasewood Major GPA to Cultural/Institutional has been filed.  They are asking for C2-ESL for the restaurant  portion on about 10 acres closest to the Toms Thumb Trailhead.  Those case numbers are 5-GP-2014 and 11-ZN-2014.

The rezoning case for the +/- 462 acres has also been filed.  They are asking for PCD-ESL and R1-18 standards.  (that’s 18,000 square foot lots where current zoning calls for 130,000 square foot lots.) Of those 462 acres, the Cavaliere family piece totals 120 acres, of which 10 or so acres are being siphoned off for the proposed restaurant/themed area.  There is nothing in the file to explain the ownership of the remaining approximately 340 acres.  The ownership issue needs to be explored. That case number is 13-ZN-2014.

The hearing schedule for this year’s Major General Plan Amendments is as follows:

Wednesday, September 10 there will be a Planning Commission remote site hearing at 5:00 pm at the Copper Ridge School.  Public comments will be accepted but the Planning Commission will take no action.

Wednesday, October 8, 5:00 pm in the Kiva the Planning Commission will act on the GP amendment applications and make its recommendations to the City Council.

December 1 – 3 the City Council will act on the major amendment applications in public meetings in the Kiva.
