GPPA’s Scottsdale City Council Candidates Forum Set for July 29th

The Greater Pinnacle Peak Association (GPPA) invites north Scottsdale voters to attend a candidates forum on Tuesday, July 29th, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.,  at Troon Country Club. All nine Scottsdale City Council candidates have accepted invitations to participate. The candidates are:

  • Bill Crawford
  • Cindy Hill
  • Kathy Littlefield
  • Linda Milhaven
  • Jennifer Petersen
  • Dennis Robbins
  • David N. Smith
  • Porter Vaughn (Write-in Candidate)

Meet the candidates, listen to their views, ask your questions, learn what is being proposed for Greasewood Flats & Pinnacle Peak Patio areas, land acquisition for the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, and more, and how these issues may affect your life.

The City of Scottsdale will hold a primary election on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 to elect three council members.  A general election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 to fill any elected offices that remain unfilled after the primary. To be elected at the primary election, a candidate must receive a majority of all the legal votes cast for that candidate’s race.  Residents must be registered to vote by Monday, July 28, 2014 to be qualified to vote in the City of Scottsdale Primary

Bob Cappel, President of the Greater Pinnacle Peak Association, will serve as moderator. The forum will be held at Troon Country Club, 25000 N. Windy Walk Drive, Scottsdale, 85255.  Light refreshments will be served.

Directions: Take Pima Road to Happy Valley Road and turn east on Happy Valley Road. Continue east on Happy Valley after the 4-way stop at Alma School Road. Turn north (left) on Windy Walk Drive, then take your first left into Troon Country Club just before the gated entrance into Troon.
