Friends of the Scenic Drive volunteers and the board of directors of the Greater Pinnacle Peak Association thank the Desert Foothills Woman’s Club for its support of the Desert Foothills Scenic Drive. The club’s donation will be used to maintain and enhance the Desert Foothills Scenic Drive.

The Desert Foothills Woman’s Club was founded in 1960 to promote and encourage the charitable, educational and social interests of Desert Foothills Women.  The club has an annual fundraiser in February and the proceeds go to community and student grants.  Pictured here are the members of the organizing committee for this year’s fundraiser luncheon that was held in Cave Creek in February.

The club’s educational grants are rewarded to deserving high school senior girls who live in our community and need financial assistance for college.  This year the following community organizations received grants: Desert Foothills Scenic Drive, Cave Creek Museum, Horses Help Therapeutic Riding Center, and the Foothills Food Bank.

The club holds monthly lunch meetings on the second Thursday of each month from October through May.  Anyone interested in joining can contact the membership chairman, Margie Olson, at (651) 587-5910.
