Cactus Shadows High School, in the Cave Creek Unified School District, held the Grand Opening of their Fieldhouse on January 23, 2017. Governing Board President, Mark Warren, cut the ribbon signifying the grand opening of the fieldhouse. A community celebration is in the planning stages for Fall 2017.
Those in attendance included CCUSD Board Members Janet Busbee, Kathryn Hill, and Cynthia Weiss (Vice President); Dr. Debbi Burdick, Superintendent; Dr. Kent Frison and Dr. Jana Miller, Associate Superintendents; Dr. Steve Bebee, principal; Jim Swetter, AP of Athletics & Operations; Coaches Mike Hudnutt (football), M. Luke Scott (boys tennis) and Jill McLyn ( girls tennis); Mike Santina, Director of Facilities & Construction; Barry Chasse from Chasse Building Team; Don Brubaker from One!Architecture; and Mark Rafferty from Facilities Management Group.
Parents, students and staff were treated to a light snack and dessert provided by Chasse Building Team.
Dr. Steve Bebee, principal of CSHS said “Our Athletes now have a state of the art weight room and locker room facilities to more appropriately meet their needs. We have adequate storage facilities and the ability to serve our patrons well. With the completion of the athletic complex, the campus and facilities of Cactus Shadows now match the high quality education that has been taking place on our campus for years. As a school community we are grateful to our taxpayers and we have a great deal to be proud of.” CCUSD would like to join Dr. Bebee in thanking the community for voting yes on the Bond that allowed the Falcon Stadium renovation to take place.
