The first round of the 2020 Scottsdale elections will be over in just a few days and the stakes couldn’t be higher! Literally the future direction of our beautiful city will be decided in this election. Do we continue with the policies of the current City Council majority who are exploiting Scottsdale’s special character and high quality of life for campaign cash? Or do we elect a resident-friendly Mayor and City Council to reverse that bad trend?

My campaign for Mayor is really a continuation of the citizen efforts that started four years ago to protect the Preserve from commercial development, elect resident-friendly candidates to the City Council and halt unbridled over-development in Downtown. The next few days is your opportunity to continue that effort by electing me as Scottsdale Mayor. While there is not a lot of time left you can help by urging your friends and neighbors to vote for me and for resident-friendly candidates to the City Council. It is too late to turn in ballots by mail – if you or someone you know still has an early ballot you will need to drop it off at one of the Scottsdale voting centers listed below. And, even if you never received an early ballot you can still vote in person at one of these voting centers. If you have any questions about how to make sure your vote counts you should call the Scottsdale City Clerk at 480-312-2411.

I want to thank you all for your support and help over the last few months. Hopefully we will be running in the final lap to the November general election!
