April 30, 2018

Spring officially began on March 20 and will last until June 21. This time of year is one of the best times to put down the TV remote, forget about politics and spend some time enjoying our beautiful weather (okay, late June might be just a little hot).
If you’re a photographer, this is also the prime time of year to explore all that nature has to offer. For me, the best of spring’s offerings is birds. The Greater Pinnacle Peak area is home to a remarkable variety of birds and spring finds them looking for mates, building nests, laying eggs and raising their young. So, get out there. Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and maybe take a little time to try your own hand at photographing some birds.
Shown below are a few bird photographs I managed to capture just before spring officially began.
