Many of us are ok with a DDC – just do not want to use funds dedicated to acquiring & maintaining Preserve Land used for their project. We also do not want to tear up Preserve Desert (no matter how small) when there is so much Scottsdale desert already zoned for development.
Recently Mayor Lane has proposed a Resolution that would require a public vote before anything could be constructed on the Preserve. In order to find this position credible, we are requesting that the Mayor introduce this to the Council to vote on prior to the election, as after the election, he will be free to return to his prior support of the DDCS plan.
