June 14, 2018

Howdie Pardner,

It’s been awhile.  The Peak’s dang editor has had old Desert Les on a special assignment.  Now he wants me to make up a quiz about them words we say when we promise to be loyal to the Red, White, and Blue and the U.S. of A.

Creatin’ this test is a total waste of Desert Les’ time. Every fool knows all about the pledge. Anyway, as we say out on the range, “Here goes nothin’.”

Oh.  yes, no Googlin’ or cheatin’. We hang cheaters in these here parts. Yup.

Good luck!
