City of Scottsdale Public Meetings and Newsletters Related to the Missions of GPPA and Friends of the Scenic Drive

  • Scottsdale City Council Meetings. As a general rule, the city council holds its regular meetings  on the first and third Tuesday of each month, starting at 5 p.m. in the City Hall Kiva, 3939 N. Drinkwater Boulevard in downtown Scottsdale.  Additional meetings may be called and the schedule may change because of holidays, elections, etc.  All council meetings are televised on City Cable 11 and normally rebroadcast the following Friday and Saturday evenings at 5 p.m.For an up-to-date schedule, directions, and more information about the council, visit http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/council/meetings Website
  • City of Scottsdale  Planning Commission Meetings. The planning commission meets twice per month, generally on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Typically, meetings are held in the City Hall Kiva, 3939 N. Drinkwater Boulevard in downtown Scottsdale.   • Scottsdale Adopt-A-Road Program. GPPA’s corps of volunteers, Friends of the Scenic Drive, was one of the first particpants in Scottsdale’s Adopt-A-Road program. Friends conducts regular roadside cleanups along the Desert Foothills Scenic Drive, i.e. north Scottsdale Road, refer to GPPA-Scenic Drive Events on home page for information. Today, GPPA publishes an expanded online version for tens of thousands of readers as a free community service serving Scottsdale and neighborhing communities.
