The Artist’s Loft: Easy Street Galleria

natalie_dec15_hallwaySince I’m an artist, I like to write about art galleries, especially when I discover a new unprecedented one. I learned about the galleria through an email. I was fortunate to have been one of the local artists who received the announcement for a “call for artists” to fill the walls and space of the new galleria. I was excited to read about its location and manner of business. It’s located on Easy Street in Carefree and conveniently called the Easy Street Galleria. It’s a new and unique addition to the Carefree Town Center.

The Galleria is an unparalleled business, offering distinctive fine art, uncommon arts and crafts, fashion items, fashion accessories and all levels of art classes and instruction. There is something for everyone! The Galleria is home to over 25 artists that work in a myriad of mediums…from oil painting to exotic wood creations. In addition to the artwork, the Galleria also includes a fun fashion boutique and a colorful, spacious 700 square foot working art studio/classroom that will host classes from beginner level to advanced for both adults and children.

Easy Street Galleria is the creative vision of Victoria Orrico, a long-time resident of Carefree. “I love working with and promoting other artists works! I am very excited by the quality artists that have joined the Galleria,” said owner Victoria. She is also an artist who creates whimsical creations from gourds and dabbles in many other mediums. She has been featured in many art shows, newspapers and was interviewed twice on Fox news 15. Victoria will be teaching some of the art classes along with other guest artists. “The perfect evening will be to bring a friend and a bottle of wine to the Galleria and participate in one of our fun art workshops. After class, browse the artwork and fashion boutique. You will be sure to find something that you can’t live without”, laughed Victoria.

The inside of the Galleria is divided into open viewing spaces on either side of a center walkway. Each space is filled with various kinds of artistic creations. Each area has one, two or three artists participating and you will find pottery, metal creations, fabric art, fine art paintings of various styles and compositions…western motif, floral, contemporary, landscapes and some portraits. Easy Street Galleria is a shop with multiple artists represented and nuggets of art in every nook and cranny!

The Galleria is located in the area of the Sundial at Carefree Town Center across from the Kiwanis new splash pad. It is part of the same large complex as the Carefree Post Office. When there is a happening, the Easy Street Galleria will be front and center!
