Seinfeld Video Clip Features Kramer as Road Adopter

seinfeld bannerEvery organization that adopts a road or highway hungers for enthusiastic volunteers. But how about a  volunteer as enthusiastic as the volunteer portrayed in this video clip?

The clip is from the 150th episode of Seinfeld, “The Pothole.” In the episode, Kramer proudly announces that he is responsible for a one-mile stretch of highway. True to his  over-the-top style, Kramer proceeds to convert the four lane road into a “two-lane comfort cruise,” by blacking out lane lines. The result is a massive traffic jam. Fearing his section of road will be taken away from him, Kramer employs paint thinner to fix the problem. But, the paint thinner spills onto the road. Meanwhile, an unsuspecting Newman, driving along Kramer’s stretch of highway, runs over a sewing machine causing sparks and laughs to fly. The video captures the closing scene and Newman’s immortal words “Oh, the humanity.”
