SCC Tech Talks Event Covering Education & Tech, Jan. 27

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Jan. 6, 2017) — Registration is now open for the upcoming TechTalks 2017 event at Scottsdale Community College. The Jan. 27 event will feature a series of presenters giving 18-minute talks on educational technology and the teaching/learning process.

The speakers will share their stories, ideas and insights about how technology and education, when combined, have the power to chart successful outcomes for students. The format is patterned after the acclaimed TedTalks.

The event will be at Scottsdale Community College’s Performing Arts Center, 9000 E. Chaparral Road. The program starts promptly at 8:30 a.m., with continental breakfast available at 7:45 a.m.

The last presentation is scheduled to end at 12:30 p.m.

Presenter topics will cover a wide range, including:

  • Implementing a Virtual Reality Classroom
  • Life Hacking Culture
  • Experiencing Digital Humanities
  • Making Decisions in a World of Uncertainty
  • Student Video Investigations
  • Putting the Person Back into Personalized Learning
  • Building Online Community, Interaction and Collaboration through Facebook

TechTalks 2017 is presented by SCC’s Instructional Strategic Technology Advisory Committee and sponsored by the Maricopa Center for Learning and Instruction.
