A Peek at the Peak, Special Holiday Issue, November, 2014

Happy holidays! WE, the Greater Pinnacle Peak Association and Friends of the Scenic Drive, have gifts for YOU: our members, residents, prospective visitors, businesses, organizations, and readers. The gifts are 1) a new, enriched online magazine, and 2) exciting sponsorship opportunities.

Gift 1. Enriched A Peek at the Peak (The Peak) Magazine

In 1983, using a typewriter and carbon paper and hand-written articles provided by her neighbors, who were GPPA members, Liz Stapleton Ogden produced the first issue of The Peak at her kitchen table. Since  then the publication has changed many times, as the area developed and technology advanced – pages, advertisements, and graphics were added, bindings replaced staples, color ink replaced black ink, glossy paper replaced copy paper. Meanwhile, our association added three websites, an email newsletter, a Facebook page and Twitter.

The Peak has changed again, transitioning online, incorporating the most popular content of its websites, and providing more ways for you to participate in and benefit.

Gift 2. Sponsorship Opportunities

By investing in advertisements, event listings, and articles, sponsors gain exposure for their activities and causes, while supporting the local environment, the Scenic Drive, and quality of life.

9 Reasons to Read and Sponsor The Peak

  1. Timeliness. The magazine is published monthly and updated continuously.
  2. Boundless Exposure. The Peak can be read by anybody, anytime, anywhere. Visitors to our three original websites, email newsletter, Facebook page, and Tweets are now instantly connected to the new magazine.
  3. Broader Audience. The Peak was available on stands when older residents arrived. Now, it’s available to younger people, who prefer getting information online. Plus, there is more information for residents and visitors about things to see and do.
  4. Recognition. The names of sponsors are listed in both the email newsletter and the magazine.
  5. More Content. More interesting articles about the local community, environment, government, events, and Scottsdale’s Scenic Drive.
  6. Expansive Content. Articles can include links to related websites, documents, and videos.
  7. Easy to Read. Content is automatically formatted for PCs, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
