It’s National School Choice Week and Cave Creek Unified is celebrating. Did you know that 86% of Arizona parents choose local public schools for their children? Cave Creek Unified School district, the number 1 School District in Maricopa County, offers its students and their parents’ Choice. Chinese, French or Spanish Immersion, a World Language Program (PreK-12), STEM Education, Equine Character Program, Dance, Drama and athletics. Parents will find a niche for their child at one of CCUSD’s “A” Rated Schools. Here’s what one parent had to say:
“Our decision to attend schools in the CCUSD was easy. Our family literally moved into the district after months of commuting. Our daughters are actually the second generation to attend Cactus Shadows High School. Their Dad shares stories of how Cactus Shadows was named and other early decisions through his involvement in student council, that began shaping the school back in the 80’s. He was the second graduating class and his brother was the forth. Interestingly, they have all had the same English teacher! The boys were involved in sports, especially 
football, and our girls of course chose to participate in the amazing Pom, Cheer and dance programs. The grandparents could not be prouder and are often found at football and basketball games and competitions cheering with the ‘Cactus Shadows Family’ for their last grandchild in high school. Who knows? Maybe the tradition will continue! Scott and Keith Moore attended Cactus Shadows High School (class of ’87 and ’89); Christy Moore also attended Cactus Shadows High School (class of 2014); and Kelene Moore attended Desert Sun Academy, Sonoran Trails Middle School and is now a Sophomore at Cactus Shadows High School, (class of 2019).
