An Event you must  see this year is the 61st Annual Scottsdale Arabian horse show.  It is one of the largest shows for the Arabian breed in the world and it is right here in our backyard at WestWorld. Horses and riders/handlers come from all over the country and world to compete. Every year there is approximately  2,500 beautiful horses. This year it will be held beginning on February 11 through the 21st at Westworld in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The show not only has a variety of the top horses in the world competing but also amazing food and shopping vendors filling several tents around the area. This show for the exhibitors gives off excitement and energy like no other. Winning at this show is a huge achievement, and watching someone win is so exciting.  I personally have been placed to have won Scottsdale Champion competing in the show for my 8th year this year.

The Gambler’s Choice Jumping Class is held on a Saturday evening during the show.

The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show has exciting competitions, educational seminars, an amazing and extensive cuisine court, and features around 300 vendor booths, offering almost everything you can imagine such as jewelry, clothing and works of art. General admission is only 10 dollars and varies for ages, which is such an affordable outing for the family or anyone to enjoy such an amazing experience.

The Freestyle Liberty Classic is a crowd pleaser at the show.

Visiting the Scottsdale Arabian horse show will allow you to feel the spirit of the Arabian horse, and learn so much about the breed. Children love coming and seeing all the beautiful horses but the show really is for everyone. There is a large variety of activities for children like paint a pony, and meeting horses which are some favorites of many. Visiting one year can turn into a family tradition like it has for many. It’s an experience like no other and defiantly a must do if you are in or visiting Scottsdale. Looking forward to seeing you at the S Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show 2016.  These pictures are from last years event. I took some of them. I love taking photographs of horses and photograph the Scottsdale Show every year. The show’s website, www.scottsdaleshow.com has a complete schedule of events.

    • Thank you, Dennis. Absolutely like to have you take pictures at the event. The ones that you’ve taken in the past are great. FYI. To promote the necktie cutting activity we are getting a selfie stick so that guests can take their own picture of the tie being cut off them, or to have a friends or someone else take a complimentary picture of the cutting. In addition, Gina, the owner of Earl the Trick Pony will be offering to take pictures of kids with the pony for a few dollars, with the proceeds going to GPPA. Thanks again. Be sure to get some good pictures of the drum circle and owl release. Les
